Creative Direction
With spring approaching and nice weather starting, I was eager to be outside working in good weather again. So, the concept focused on a late sunset, early spring look with soft colors and a calm atmosphere to compare with the white + black of my vehicle.
Inspiration for photo and video were put together for a simple mood board: Notion Board Link.
To guide the shoot, I built a loose set of rules: golden hour lighting, clean and simple environments, natural color with subtle grading, focus on shape, reflections, and detail
Photography approach
All images were photographed vertically for social media use. I focused on the unique details of the car I personally enjoy and used natural light during sunset to give the images a clean, warm feel.
Photo Editing Techniques
Here is an example to show part of the editing process to demonstrate my approach to coloring, masking, and basic editing.
Video Approach
The video was shot in landscape to give a cinematic feel and allow for additional cropping (vertical) later. I focused on slower, detail-oriented shots with lo-fi music to bring together a chill and inviting vibe. A subtle VHS-inspired intro was added to create a simple visual hook and add a touch of personality.
Closing
This project was an opportunity to demonstrate both planning and execution within a visual style, from concept through final exports ready for delivery.
By setting creative constraints and focusing on consistency, the final photos and video shows my ability to create intentional automotive content.
